I am currently working with the Grand Prairie Arts Council to host a film festival to showcase the work of aspiring filmmakers everywhere.
I am currently working with the Grand Prairie Arts Council to host a film festival to showcase the work of aspiring filmmakers everywhere.
We just wrapped the 2nd Annual PrairieFest Film Showcase and it was a huge success!!! We screened a total of 30 films at our event on August 31, 2024 at the historic Uptown Theater in Grand Prairie, TX. The big winner was "As Easy As Closing Your Eyes" directed by Parker Croft. Parker and his team took home six awards this year! There were many great films screened and fantastic guest speakers including legendary actor, Barry Corbin. Gamez also serves as Projection Tech on many Grand Prairie Arts Council theater productions. This year, those have included "9 to 5: The Musical", "The Producers", "Finding Nemo, Jr", currently "Bonnie & Clyde", and in December, "Newsies".
